Greetings from Year Three!
Here are just some of the fun things we learn about throughout the year. During the first term, we look at Water and get to make our own water pistols to test. Then we learn about what life was like during World War II as part of our ‘Leaving Home’ topic. We visit the Southsea Homefront Museum, dress up with our gas mask boxes and really experience what life was like for evacuees. In the Spring Term we focus on the Rainforests of the World and stumble upon ‘Jungle Fever’. Then we learn about how Communication has developed through our ‘Ring tones’ project and visit the local post office and telephone exchange. During the Summer Term we progress on to learning about our bodies with our ‘Funny Bones’ topic. Then we have our Frog Legs' topic where we use our swimming skills and trips to the local high school running track to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
As usual we will be planning an exciting end of year trip to reward such hard work!
